Bentley & his wife, Celene, have four children and attend Crosswind Church in Union City. Bentley visited Honduras in 2015 on a mission trip with Dr. Mike Calfee. The experience had a lasting impression on Bentley and intensified his desire to serve others. Bentley’s service includes coordinating yearly Rotary travel for local high school students giving many a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit European countries and Washington, D.C.
Always dedicated to serving others, Bentley and his staff take the month of November each year and conduct what has come to be known as “A Month of Thanksgivings.” Using the quote of Arthur Ward, “Gratitude can transform common days into Thanksgivings, turn routine jobs to joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings,” for 20 days during the month of Thanksgiving, Bentley and staff choose 20 different businesses or individuals and perform a random act of kindness for each one. Twice a year, they volunteer for a local service project, Soul Food Café, to coordinate and provide meals for some 200 individuals. Bentley is a dedicated servant in his service to others and leads by example in the many service projects he and his staff perform in their community throughout the year.
