Two Needs
Sponsorship Fund: The children MDM supports are separated into three categories: Primary Education Sponsor K-6th, Secondary Education Sponsor 7th – 9th, Higher Education Sponsor 10th-University. The average cost for children to attend school is $600 per year.
MDM sponsorships will cover the cost of uniforms, shoes, books, backpacks, school supplies, computer lab, and the afterschool program with homework assistance, tutoring and spiritual formation classes. Further, sponsorship includes the daily transportation to Tegucigalpa, high school and college text books, lab fees, and meals.
Operating Fund: In order to help maintain the existing operations to support the afterschool program and other initiatives, a yearly operating fund needs to be supported. Specifically, staff salaries, community development initiatives, community food drives, vehicles expenses, and other various operating expenses need to be paid. MDM operates very efficiently, requiring less than $120 a day to support its programs.
How Can I Donate?
MDM has made it easy to donate through our Secure Online Donation Portal. Our donation portal will allow you to set up recurring (yearly, monthly, weekly) donations that can be deducted from a checking account or credit card.
