Four Teams, One Mission
The year kicked off strong with two incredible mission trips to Honduras, one from Little Rock—the Turner team—and another from Des Moines Christian School, who came ready work and bless the community in some meaningful ways. In just a few days, they accomplished so much:
- Built 2 houses for families in need of safe shelter.
- Poured 4 concrete floors, helping improve daily life by replacing dirt floors.
- Delivered 210 water filters, providing access to clean, drinkable water to families of El Guayabo community.
- Provided 50+ medical consultations and handed out essential medicine kits to the students of the Recizapa’s school, their siblings, and mothers.

Those numbers tell part of the story—for these teams didn’t just come to visit, they came to serve. And they demonstrated that helping out in every way they could, rolling up their sleeves to mix concrete, cutting boards, listening to families’ stories, offering a word of prayer, playing with the children, even loving puppies and chickens!
Each project was a reminder of what love looks like—taking action.
To our many friends in Little Rock, Des Moines, and the ONL organization: THANK YOU! You’ve made a real, lasting impact. Thank you for your willingness to serve, it brought immense joy to the mountain—and beyond—the kind of joy that comes with tears and a heart that cries out “Thank you Lord!”
To all of you who showed up—we would love to have you back—and all of you who supported them in all possible ways: Thank you for saying yes! It is our prayer that every one who served with us left Honduras transformed in some way, just as they have helped transform lives here.
Haven’t come yet?! We are already planning our 2026 trips—join us to see the difference you can make! And if you’re wondering if missions trips to Honduras are for you, we’d love to talk.
