As I try to slow down from all the business and the activities for the closing of the year and focus on reflecting on what God has allowed us to accomplish this year, there is this feeling of gratitude that comes from the bottom of my heart. Gratitude toward God for His unfailing and never-ending love, for His faithfulness towards our lives and towards the communities we serve, and for allowing us to participate on His plans for His people on the mountains of San Matias.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord ,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.“
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Gratitude towards all ministry partners (Legacy Partners, Education Sponsors, Short-term Mission Teams, Supporters who donate to the Scholarship fund, Food & Meds Program, Dental-care, and Clean Water Programs) For your prayers, and investment of your time and finances. Gratitude towards the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Development & Finance Committee, and the Admin & Support Team, for walking this journey with us, investing of your time and energy. For your prayers, wisdom and advise, and your continued support and commitment to the kingdom work that MDM Honduras continues to carry on in San Matias.
2022 becomes a milestone in the life of MDM Honduras, as we celebrate the graduation of our FIRST university student. Juan Carlos Ortiz just graduated from Law School. He is the first of many that come behind him. With God’s provision and your support, next year we will see and celebrate the graduation of Belma Yulissa Rico (one of our Tutors) from the Sci. Educ. in Pedagogy, Ana Yiceli Lopez from Customs Administration and Cinthia Vanessa Carias from Law School. In each case, they are the first ones in their family who was able to go to and graduate from college.
By God’s grace and your generosity, in 2022 we continued to reach out to the families in the community, distributing approx. 500 food baskets, and 320 water filters, hosted 4 on the ground teams, and 1 Virtual Mission Team. These teams pulled alongside us to build 3 houses, pour 6 cement floors and install 3 new tin roofs. 326 people had their eyes checked and 130 got their prescribed eyeglasses. Road improvement & access to electricity provided to 90 families living in Recisapa.
I pray that God’s grace and favor may be with you and your loved ones during this Christmas season, and that during 2023 He may continue to establish His will and His purpose for your life.
THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

“I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better“
Ephesians 1:16-17
